Swaroopa Dairy Farm

Life here at H. No 1-75 in Potharajpally starts very early, way before the sun is even up. That is just how it goes on a dairy farm. The animals need to be fed and looked after, and that doesn’t wait for anyone or any weather. We are out in Geesugonda, where there is a bit more space for the cows to move around. It can get quite muddy when it rains, and there is always something that needs fixing, like a broken fence or a leaking bucket. We spend most of our time outside or in the sheds. It is hard work and your hands get dirty every day, but that is the reality of running a farm like this. We have our routines for milking and cleaning that we follow every day without fail, even on holidays. The house is right there on the property, so the work and home life kind of blend together all the time. You hear the cows calling even when you are trying to sit down for a quick meal. Neighbors from around Potharajpally stop by for their milk, usually carrying their own steel containers. We don't have a big marketing department or any fancy flyers; people just know we are here at house 1-75. It’s a practical way of living for us. Some days are longer than others, especially if one of the animals isn't feeling well. We just take it as it comes and try to keep everything running smoothly. It’s a quiet life in some ways.
