Sri Rama Water Plant

Water is something everyone needs, especially when the summer hits Warangal. Down in Pakhalashoknagar, Khanapuram, we run the Sri Rama Water Plant at H. No -10-31/1. It’s not a quiet place because the filtration machines are always humming in the background. We spend a lot of time cleaning out the big 20-liter cans and making sure the seals are tight. It’s physical work, lifting those heavy bottles all day onto the back of the rickshaws or the small vans. My shirt is usually damp by noon, either from the water or the heat. We don’t have a big office with air conditioning. Just a desk near the door where we keep track of the deliveries. The neighborhood knows us well since we’ve been supplying water to the houses around Khanapuram for quite some time. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, which is frustrating but that’s life in a town like this. We just want to make sure the water is clean and reaches people on time. It’s a simple cycle. Fill, load, deliver, and bring the empty ones back. We don’t use any complicated talk about our process. We just show people the plant and they can see how we work. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us very busy from dawn until late in the evening every day. We don't need fancy words to explain why water is important to the people living around here.
