Sravanthi Concrete Mixer

Down in Warangal, over in the Christian Colony area of Prathapnagar, you’ll find our setup for the concrete mixers. It is a noisy business, to say the least. We have several of those big rotating drums that we send out to construction sites all over the city. When the engines are running and the gravel is tumbling inside, you can’t hear much else. Our yard at H. No 11-5-152 is often covered in a fine layer of grey cement dust. We spend a lot of time cleaning the machines because if the concrete sets inside the drum, it’s a huge headache to get out. The workers are usually wearing boots that are caked in dried mud and grey splatter. We don't have a fancy office for meetings; we usually just talk to the contractors and builders right out in the yard or over the phone while the machines are loading up. It’s a lot of coordination to make sure the mixers get to the site exactly when the laborers are ready to pour. If we are late, the whole job stops, so there is always a bit of stress involved. We’ve been operating in Prathapnagar for a good while, and most of the local construction crews know our trucks. It’s hard, physical work, and at the end of the day, everyone is pretty tired and covered in grit, but that’s just the nature of the building trade.
