Shivaji D J Sound Systems

We are based in Rangapuram, over in the Kesamudram area of Warangal. Our place is usually filled with big speaker boxes, rolls of black cables, and various amplifiers sitting on shelves. It is a bit of a mess because we are always packing or unpacking for some event. We spend a lot of time in the back of a van, hauling heavy equipment to different villages for weddings or local festivals. The gear is heavy and it takes a long time to set everything up so it sounds right. In Warangal, the parties can go on very late, so we are often working until the early morning hours. We have to deal with tangled wires and blown fuses more often than we would like. When we are not out at a gig, we are here testing the speakers and making sure the bass is still strong. The neighbors probably don't like the noise much, but we try to keep the testing short. Our hands are usually a bit dirty from moving the metal frames and loading the trolley. We don't have a fancy shopfront, just a room where we keep the sound systems safe from the rain. It is a loud way to make a living, but we have been doing it for a while now around Rangapuram. We just load up the van, head out, and hope the power supply at the venue is steady.
