Shine High School

Balasamudram is where we are, right at Door No 1-8-205/1. It’s an old spot in Warangal. Most mornings, the street outside gets a bit crowded with parents dropping off their kids. You can hear the morning chatter from the shops nearby. Inside our school, the walls are painted a light color that’s started to peel in the corners. We don't mind much because the kids are busy. Our staff room has a big wooden table where everyone sits to drink tea between periods. Sometimes the fans make a clicking noise, but we’re used to it. The playground isn't huge, but it's enough for a decent game of kho-kho or just running around during the lunch break. We’ve got rows of benches that have seen a lot of students over the years. You’ll see names scratched into the wood here and there. It’s just a normal school day here. We spend our time checking notebooks and making sure everyone is where they should be. The bells ring loud enough to be heard down the block. When the afternoon sun hits the front windows, it gets pretty warm. We usually keep the curtains pulled. It’s not a fancy place, just some rooms and a lot of books. We’ve been here in 506001 for a while now. Most people around here know the building. It’s just how things go every day in Warangal. We keep the gate open until eight. Then the lessons start.
