Shanthi Dairy Farm

Life at Shanthi Dairy Farm starts before the sun is even up. We are located at H. No -1-128 in Khanapur. If you live nearby, you probably hear the cows early in the morning. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. Cleaning the sheds and making sure the animals are fed takes up most of our time. We don’t have fancy machines for everything. A lot of it is done by hand. My family has been doing this for a long time. The house and the farm are right next to each other. Khanapur is a quiet place mostly, which is good for the cows. We spend our days checking the milk and making sure everything is clean. It’s a repetitive job, but people need their milk every day. Sometimes the cows get sick and we have to stay up late with them. It’s not always easy work, and our boots are usually covered in mud or straw. We don’t have a website or anything. People just come to the gate or we send the milk out to the usual spots. The shed gets hot in the summer, so we spend a lot of time making sure there’s enough water. It’s a simple life here at house 1-128. We just focus on the animals and the daily milking schedule. It's what we know. The neighbors know us as the dairy folks. That’s basically all there is to tell about us. We keep moving forward every day.
