Shantha Laxmi Industries

Our site is out at Sy No 369/C/1 in Kolkonda. It is a bit of a drive to get out here, but Devaruppala is where we have set up Shantha Laxmi Industries. The area is mostly open land with a few other industrial spots nearby. We have a large shed where most of the work happens. It is noisy because of the machines running, and there is usually a bit of smoke or dust in the air. We wear heavy clothes and boots because the work is physical. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone to greet you at the door. You just walk in and find us near the equipment. The sun hits the metal roof and makes it very hot by midday, so we try to get the hardest work done early in the morning. We deal with raw materials and turn them into whatever we are producing that week. It’s a lot of lifting and monitoring gauges. We eat our meals sitting on wooden crates outside when the weather is nice. We have been at this location for a while, and the routine hasn't changed much. It’s about keeping the machines maintained and making sure we hit our numbers. It’s a basic industrial life, far away from the polished offices of the city. We just focus on the task at hand.
