Sevya Auto Services is my small repair shop located at house 4-84 in Thimmarainipahad. Being in Chennaraovpet, we get a lot of tractors and old cars that need a bit of work to keep running. I started out just messing around with my own bike and then people started asking me to help with theirs. Now, I have grease under my fingernails most of the time. My tools are scattered around the yard but I know where everything is. It is not a clean place like the big showrooms in the city, but I can fix things that they would just tell you to throw away. The heat in Thimmarainipahad can be tough when you are working under a hot engine all afternoon. I usually have a radio playing in the background to keep me company. House 4-84 is where I live too, so if someone has a breakdown late at night, they sometimes knock on my door. I don't mind it too much since everyone knows everyone here. I just try to do a solid job so the local farmers can get back to their fields. It’s a simple trade and it pays the bills, and that is about all I can ask for these days in the village. Sometimes I get help from a local boy who wants to learn the business, but mostly it is just me.
