Sathvik Photo Studio

Our studio is right here in Kalwala, at house number 2-41. It’s a place people in Kesamudram know well. We’ve been taking pictures of families and kids for a long time. The space isn’t very big, but it has everything we need. We have the backdrops set up and a couple of chairs for people to sit on while they wait. In a small place like Warangal, everyone kind of knows everyone else. We mostly do passport photos or quick portraits for school and work documents. Sometimes people come in dressed up for a special occasion, and that's nice to see. The lighting in the front room can be a bit tricky depending on the time of day, but we've learned how to manage it over the years. We keep the cameras clean and the printer ready to go. It’s quiet on some afternoons, and then suddenly three families will walk in at once. That's just how it goes here. We don't use any fancy advertising; people just walk by or hear about us from their neighbors. It’s a simple life running a shop in the village. We enjoy seeing the faces of the people who live around here. We try to keep the place tidy, though the dust from the road always finds its way inside somehow. It's home for us. Sometimes we even help out the older folks who need help with their official forms too.
