Sarwar Chicken Shop

Started the shop at house number 1-66 in Munugalvedu. It is a small place but it serves our needs well. Every morning we get the birds in early, and we have to get them ready before the first person shows up. Nellikudur is a quiet area but we stay busy throughout the day. My hands are usually messy by ten in the morning. Customers walk in from the main road wanting different things. Some want whole chickens, while others just want specific parts. We do all the cutting right here on the blocks. It gets loud sometimes with the fans and the birds making noise. I have been working in this spot for a while now. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we just sit outside on the steps and wait. There is a lot of cleaning to do every evening. The floor has to be washed down with plenty of water. It is hard work on the feet but it keeps the house running. People around here know where we are without needing a map. We do not have any big signs, just the shop front. It is just how things are in Munugalvedu. You get used to the smell and the noise after a few weeks. My brother helps out when it is market day and the crowds get bigger. We see the same faces every week. It is not a fancy setup, just some cages and a counter and the cutting boards. (246 words)
