Saraswathi Tailor Shop

Saraswathi Tailor Shop is based in Rangapuram. Our address is H. No:-1-138, Kanapura, Warangal. I’ve been running this little shop for quite some time now. It’s just a small space where I keep my sewing machine and all my spools of thread. I mostly do alterations and stitch simple clothes for people in the neighborhood. It’s not a fancy boutique, just a place to get your clothes fixed or a new shirt made. Sometimes the machine acts up and I have to spend an hour fixing the tension, which can be frustrating when there’s a pile of work waiting. I keep a pot of tea going most afternoons in case a neighbor stops by for a chat while they wait for a hem to be finished. The light in the shop isn't the best in the evenings, so I try to get the detailed work done while the sun is still up. I don’t do any advertising; people just know I’m here. My husband helps out with the deliveries if someone can’t come to pick up their items. We’ve lived in Rangapuram for years, and the shop is a big part of my daily life. It’s steady work, and I enjoy the feeling of the fabric under my hands. It’s a simple shop for simple needs and the people who live around here.
