You can find Sarangapani Transport out in Paidipally, Hanamkonda. Our address is 2-62/1, which is basically a large yard where we keep the vehicles and a small building that serves as our office. Working in transport means the day starts long before the sun comes up. There’s usually a lot of shouting and the sound of heavy engines warming up in the early hours. The yard is mostly dirt and gravel, so it gets pretty muddy when it rains, which can be a real pain for the drivers. Our office is a simple one-room setup with a couple of chairs and a big ledger book on the desk. We spend a lot of time on the phone tracking where the trucks are and making sure things are moving toward Hanamkonda or wherever they are headed. It’s a lot of coordination and occasionally some stress when a vehicle breaks down or a road is closed. We don't have any fancy technology to show off; we mostly rely on our phones and the people we’ve worked with for years. The guys who drive for us have been around a long time, so we trust them to get the job done. It’s a dusty, loud environment, but it’s what we know. We sit outside on plastic chairs when the weather is nice to have our tea and talk about the day's routes. It’s just us doing the best we can every single day without much fuss.
