Sammaiah Faming

Our place is called Sammaiah Faming and we are over at H. No:-3-75-1 in Dasaripalli. It’s near Narsampet in the Warangal area. I’ve been farming this ground for as long as I can remember. My father did it before me and now I’m doing it. It’s not easy work and it won’t make you rich, but it’s what we do. We live right here on the property, so the work is always right outside the front door. Sometimes I wake up and I’m already tired, but the fields don’t wait for anyone. We grow mostly local stuff that does well in this heat. Dasaripalli is a small village and we all know each other’s business. If you’re looking for 3-75-1, it’s easy to find. We don’t have any fancy equipment or big trucks. We just use what we have and try to make it work. The weather is the biggest boss we have. If it rains, we’re happy. If it doesn’t, we worry. There isn't much more to say about it. We aren't a big company with a mission statement. We just want the crops to come up healthy so we can sell them at the market. It’s a lot of sweating and digging. My boots are always covered in mud or dust depending on the month. That's just the way it is for us here in Narsampet.
