About Sambaiah Old New Iran Marchant – Engineering in Warangal
Our yard is located at house number 3-86/A in Thimmampet, within the Duggondi region. We deal with both old and new iron, so there is always a lot of heavy metal laying around the premises. You can hear the sound of metal clanging and banging throughout the day as we move pieces from one pile to another. We have a large weighing scale that we use to check the weight of the scrap iron people bring to us. The ground is mostly dirt and stone, and it gets a bit muddy when it rains in Warangal. We spend a lot of time sorting through rusted pipes, old sheets, and various metal scraps to see what can be reused. There are also stacks of new iron bars and sheets that we keep under a small tin roof to protect them from the weather. Our work is physically demanding and we have to be careful not to get cut on sharp edges. Most of our neighbors know us as the place to get rid of old metal or to find something for a small construction job. We keep our logs in a simple book at the small desk near the gate. It is a very loud and gritty environment, but it is what we do every day. The sun beats down on the metal, making it hot to the touch in the afternoons. It is just a simple merchant business dealing in iron.
