About Sambaiah Dairy Farm – Food & Beverages in Warangal
The farm is located at house number 1-41 in Potharajpally, over in the Geesugonda region. Life here revolves entirely around the animals and the milking schedule. Every morning starts at four, regardless of if it’s cold or raining outside. You can hear the cows shifting around in the shed and the clinking of the metal buckets as we get started. It’s a lot of physical labor, cleaning out the stalls and making sure the feed is mixed just right. The air always smells like hay and fresh milk. We don't have a big corporate office; our office is basically the porch of the house where we keep the milk logs. We know each of our cows by their temperaments, and some are definitely easier to work with than others. The milk is collected and sent off early before the heat of the day kicks in. It’s a cycle that never really stops, even on holidays. We spend most of our time in our work clothes, which usually have a few stains on them. The ground in the yard is often muddy, especially near the water troughs. It’s a practical way of living that keeps us tied to the land and the animals. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just basic dairy farming the way it's been done around here for a long time. It’s honest, tiring work that fills up our whole day from start to finish.
