Sai Koushik Kirana Stores

You can find our kirana store at 6-23-58, right at Gandhi Chowk. This is in the Gandhi Nagar part of Prakash Nagar. It’s a very busy corner of the neighborhood. We are open from early morning until late at night because that’s when people need their groceries. We sell a bit of everything, from soap to bags of rice. The store is packed with stuff, and sometimes it’s hard for two people to pass each other in the aisles. Gandhi Chowk is always full of activity, with rickshaws and people moving about, so there’s never a dull moment. We know most of our customers by their first names since they live just down the street. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we take turns at the counter. Sometimes we run out of things and have to tell people to come back tomorrow after the delivery truck arrives. We don’t have a computer for the bills; we just use a pencil and paper like we always have. It works fine for us. The floor needs sweeping every hour because of all the dust from the street. It’s a lot of work to keep the shelves stocked, but we enjoy being part of the community here in Prakash Nagar. It’s just a normal shop for normal people, and we try to keep it simple.
