Ravindar Chicken Center

Relakunta is a small place, and our shop, Ravindar Chicken Center, is right at H. No -4-5/1. If you are coming through Nallabelly, you can't really miss the area. We start very early in the morning, usually before the sun is even up, because that is when the fresh birds arrive. The shop is simple, just a counter, some cages, and the equipment we use for cleaning. It is a messy job, there is no way around that, but it is what we do. People from the village come by all through the morning, especially on Sundays when everyone wants a good meal. We know most of our customers by name, and we usually end up chatting about the weather or the local crops while we work. The floor has to be washed down constantly to keep things clean. It gets pretty loud with the birds and the sounds of the knives, but you stop noticing it after the first hour. Nallabelly is a quiet district for the most part, which makes the morning rush feel even busier. By the afternoon, things usually slow down and we can take a break in the shade. We don't have a big sign or any fancy lights. People just know where to find us when they need chicken for their dinner. It is just a small local business run by regular people who live and work right here.
