About Ravi Farms – Agriculture & Farming in Warangal
If you head out to Peddammagadda in the Khanapur area, you will eventually find house number 1-60. That is where I live and run Ravi Farms. It is a humble place, honestly. The fence is leaning a little to the left because of a storm we had last month, and I haven't had the time to prop it back up properly yet. Warangal weather keeps us on our toes. I wake up when the birds start making noise and usually don't head back inside until it’s too dark to see the rows. We have a few acres that require constant attention. I don't use anything too high-tech, just the old methods my uncle taught me years ago. The soil in Peddammagadda is decent if you put in the effort to turn it over and keep it fed. I mostly work alone, though sometimes my cousins come over when it’s harvest time and we need more hands. We don't have a website or a fancy office. Most people just know me by my name or by the house number. The work is tiring and some days my knees really ache, but seeing the green shoots come up makes it worth the trouble. It’s a basic life, centered around the seasons and the rain. I just try to keep the farm running and the family fed. Nothing more to it than that, really.
