If you go over to Dabeerpet in the Khanapur area of Warangal, you will find Ravi D J Sounds at House Number 2-53/1. It’s basically just a local guy running things out of a home base. We have a lot of gear stacked up because that’s the nature of the work. When there is an event or a small gathering nearby, we are usually the ones people call. It isn't a silent place, that is for sure. There is always some speaker being tested or cables being wrapped up on the floor. The walls in Dabeerpet are close together, so the neighbors definitely know when we are working. We don't have a fancy office with a receptionist. It is just the house and the equipment. We've lived in Warangal for a long time, so we know the roads and the people around here pretty well. Sometimes the gear gets a bit dusty from the road, but we keep it all running. It’s a lot of manual labor, loading things into the van and driving out to different spots. We don't spend much time worrying about how the business looks on paper. As long as the sound is clear and the job is finished, we are happy. That’s how it goes at 2-53/1. It’s a simple life of noise and music. No big corporate goals here, just Ravi and the sound systems keeping the neighborhood loud when it needs to be.
