Ramu Mechanic Shop is a small place over in Kommulavancha. We are located at H. No:-1-158/1 and have been here for a good while. It’s basically a one-man show most days, with tools hanging on the walls and spare parts piled up in the corners. If a tractor breaks down in the field or a motorcycle won’t start, people around Narsimhulapet know to call us. We spend a lot of time covered in oil and grease. It isn't a clean job, but someone has to do it. The shop is right near the house, so work and life kind of blend together. We don't have a big neon sign, just the smell of petrol and the sound of metal on metal. Some days are slow and we just sit outside, and other days there are three bikes lined up needing help all at once. We take things as they come. If a part is broken beyond repair, we find a way to get a new one or make do with what we have. It’s a practical life. Neighbors stop by to chat even when their machines are running fine. We like the community feel of being the local mechanic. It’s about keeping the village moving, one engine at a time. No fuss, just honest labor in the heat. It gets loud and messy, but that is how we like it. We usually close up when the sun goes down and start again the next morning.
