We operate Ramesh Crane Services out of H. No -Nunavath Ravuji in Tekulagudem, Gudur. Warangal is where most of our work happens. Having a crane means you get called for the heavy stuff that nothing else can move. It’s a lot of responsibility because if something goes wrong, it’s a big problem. I spend a lot of time checking the cables and the hydraulics. The crane is old but it’s strong and does what it needs to. We take it out to construction sites or places where trucks have gone off the road and need a lift. It’s slow moving the crane on the public roads, so we have to leave early to get anywhere on time. My hands are usually covered in grease by the end of the day. It’s not a clean job. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just call the house or find us in Tekulagudem. Sometimes we have to work in the mud or in tight spaces where it’s hard to turn the machine. It takes a lot of patience to get the crane positioned just right so it doesn't tip. We don't rush things because that’s how accidents happen. It’s just me and a couple of helpers most of the time. We do the work and then we come back home to Gudur. It’s a living, and it keeps us busy enough throughout the month. We keep the equipment ready for the next call.
