Rama Tailor Shop

We are located at house number 4-123 in the Banjara area of Singaram, Nellikudur. The shop is a small room where the sound of the sewing machine is the main thing you hear from morning until night. We have a lot of colorful fabrics tucked into every available corner and shelf. Most of the time, there are several pieces of half-finished clothing hanging from hooks on the walls. We use an old wooden table for all our cutting and marking, and it has become quite worn over the years. People from the village come to us with their dress materials, and we talk about how they want the stitching done while we take their measurements. There are always little bits of thread and fabric scraps on the floor that we have to clean up at the end of the day. The lighting is just a single bulb and whatever sunlight comes through the open door. In Warangal, we get quite a bit of heat, so we usually work with the door wide open. We have a small drawer where we keep our needles, bobbins, and measuring tapes so they don't get lost in the piles of cloth. It is a quiet life of sewing and talking to the neighbors who stop by. We don't have any big advertisements or anything like that. It is just a local tailor shop where we do our best with the fabric we are given.
