My shop is in Govindapur, right here in the Nallabelly area. I spend most of my day covered in oil and grease, but that is how it goes when you fix vehicles. It started with just a few tools and a small space at H. No -Govindapur. Now, I have more parts laying around than I probably need. People bring their bikes and cars when they start making strange noises. I listen to the engine and try to figure out what is wrong. It is like solving a puzzle every day. Some days are slow and I just sit on the bench outside and watch the traffic go by. Other days, three people show up at once and they are all in a hurry. I tell them to wait their turn. I don’t like to rush because that is when you forget to tighten a bolt. Nallabelly is a good place to work. The people are mostly farmers or people traveling through. They need their vehicles to work so they can get to their fields or to the city. I do my best with what I have. My hands are always dirty, but the work is honest. I don't use any computers to check the engines, just my ears and my experience from all these years. It is a quiet life but I like it. I have been fixing things since I was a teenager and I don't plan to stop now.
