Rajeeru Dairy Farm sits at house number 9-37/1 in Nizampally, which is in the Regonda area of Warangal. Life here starts very early, way before the sun is even up. You can hear the animals waking up and the clinking of buckets. It’s a lot of physical work every single day, no matter if it’s a holiday or if it’s raining. The cows need feeding and the place needs cleaning constantly. We aren't a big industrial farm, just a family-run place in the village. There is always a smell of hay and fresh milk around the yard. My boots are usually muddy from walking back and forth. We deliver to the nearby houses and sometimes people come right to the gate to get what they need. The work is tiring but it feels good to be outside. We have a few helpers from the village who have been with us for years. My kids help out after school when they can. The weather in Warangal gets very hot in the summer, so we have to make sure the animals stay cool. It’s a quiet life in Nizampally, away from the big city noise. We don't have any fancy equipment, just the basics that get the job done. Every day follows a similar routine, from the first milking to the evening cleanup. We grow some of our own fodder in the patch of land behind the house to keep costs down for the animals.
