Parvathalu Farms

My family and I run Parvathalu Farms from our home at House Number 1-175 in Muthojipet. We are out in the Narsampet area of Warangal. Farming is what we know. Most of our days start before the sun is even up, checking on the fields and seeing what needs water or attention. It’s not easy work and the weather doesn't always cooperate, but it is what we have done for a long time. The house in Muthojipet is where we keep all our tools and sometimes the seeds for the next season. We grow what we can based on the rains and the soil. It's a lot of physical labor, digging and planting and then waiting to see how the crop turns out. In Warangal, the heat can be tough on the plants, so we spend a lot of time worrying about the water. We don't have any big machinery, just a few things to help us along. When it’s harvest time, everyone in the house is busy from morning till night. It’s a simple life, mostly spent outdoors. We aren't trying to be the biggest farm around, just trying to make a living off the land we have here in Muthojipet. Sometimes the pests get to the plants, or the market prices are low, but we just keep planting anyway. It’s how things go in the village, and we just stick to it.
