Padmavathi Travels

If you look for us in Thimmapur Haveli, we are at number 7-34 in the Jakkaloddi area. It is a quiet spot for the most part, though Hanamkonda is growing fast around us. Padmavathi Travels is just a small office where we manage our vehicles. We have a few cars and we spend most of our time coordinating trips for people who need to go to weddings or just get to the next town. The office has a ceiling fan that squeaks a bit and some old plastic chairs for anyone waiting. We don't have a big staff, usually just one or two of us here handling the phone calls. Sometimes the power goes out and it gets a bit warm inside, so we sit out front for a bit. We know the roads around here very well, which helps when someone is in a hurry. The paperwork gets a bit messy sometimes with all the logs and receipts scattered on the table. We try to keep the cars clean, though the dust from the road makes it a daily battle. It is a simple life here. We start early in the morning and stay until the last booking is sorted out. People in the neighborhood know where to find us if they need a ride. We don’t do much advertising; word of mouth usually keeps us going. It’s just an honest way to make a living in this part of the world.
