New Blue Birds High School

New Blue Birds High School is located in a very old part of town. We are right by Fortwarangal, near the Warangal Fort itself. You can feel the history around here in the 506008 area. The school building is just a normal structure sitting among the old stones and houses of Warangal. It’s a bit of a walk for some of the kids who come from the other side of the fort. In the mornings, the air is a bit cooler, which is nice before the heat kicks in. We have kids of all ages here since it’s a high school. The staff room is usually a mess of papers and half-empty tea cups. We don’t have any big corporate backing or anything like that. It’s just a local school. We focus on the daily tasks like making sure the bells ring on time and that the kids are staying in their seats. The walls have been painted a few times, but you can still see the age of the place. Being near the fort means we get a few tourists passing by sometimes, but mostly it’s just the locals. We like the neighborhood. It’s quiet in some spots and loud in others. By the time the afternoon sun hits the old fort walls, we are usually getting ready to send everyone home. It’s just a steady, everyday life here in Warangal and we are okay with that.
