M/S. Balu Gugulotgu

In Mailaram village, at H.No.2-26/1, is where I manage M/S. Balu Gugulotgu. It is part of the Palakurthy mandal. This is a very local operation through and through. I don't have a big team of employees or a fancy office space to show off. Most of the time, it is just me working through the long list of things that need to be done before sunset. The yard gets quite a bit of hot sun during the middle of the day, so I try to stay in the shade as much as I can. The house itself is where we do all the daily business. I keep all the tools and the supplies organized in the back room so I can find them. People from the nearby houses often drop by just to see how things are going with us. I don't have a big sign out front, but everyone in Mailaram already knows the location of this house. Sometimes I have to travel all the way to the mandal headquarters for paperwork, but mostly I am right here. The building is a bit old, and the roof leaks just a little bit when the monsoon rains are heavy, but we deal with it. I write down all the orders in a small diary I keep in my shirt pocket. It is not a high-tech business, just manual work and good local connections. I have been at this address for several years now and I don't plan on moving anywhere else.
