Mogili Farms

I live here at H.No:-1-63 in Peddammagadda. It’s part of Khanapur, just a bit outside Warangal city. Mogili Farms is what I do every day. I start early, usually before the sun gets too hot. There is always something to fix or move around the place. I’ve lived in this house for a long time now. The dirt gets under your fingernails and stays there. People around here know me as the one always busy with the land. It’s not a big fancy operation, just a regular farm where we get things done. Sometimes the rain is enough, other times we worry about the dry spells. The roads in Peddammagadda can be a bit bumpy after a storm. I don’t spend much time inside the house except for meals and sleeping. My boots are usually left by the door covered in mud. It’s a quiet life mostly. You hear the birds and the sound of the wind through the trees. I don’t have any big speeches to make about what I do. It is just farming and that’s plenty of work for one person. If you come by Khanapur, you’ll find us easily enough. The gate is usually open unless I’m way out in the back. It’s just how it is. We keep going day after day, year after year, watching the seasons change from this same spot. It's home.
