About Manjula Vegetables – Food & Beverages in Warangal
Our house is at 2-146 in Gurijala, and that’s where we handle all the vegetables. It’s a busy spot in the Chennaraopet area, especially when the harvest is coming in from the local fields. We have crates of tomatoes, greens, and peppers stacked up all over the place. Most of our time is spent sorting through the produce, picking out the bruised pieces and bunching up the good ones. It’s messy work, and your hands end up stained by the end of the day. The house smells like damp earth and fresh stalks. We aren't a big supermarket with shiny displays; we just have our crates and a scale that’s seen better days. People from the village come by to see what we have that’s fresh. Sometimes the delivery truck is late because of the mud on the roads, so we just sit on the steps and wait. We keep the inventory in the shade so things don't wilt too fast in the Warangal heat. It’s a simple business run out of our home, and it keeps the whole family busy. We spend our evenings prepping for the next morning’s market. There is always a pile of empty sacks to fold or a floor that needs a good wash after the day is done. Sometimes we have to sort through piles of onions when the season is right. It gets a bit loud when the neighbors stop by to chat and see what's new.
