Manikanta Dairy Farm

We’re located at 2-220 in Vasanthapur, over in Shayampeta. Running a dairy farm means our day starts way before the sun is up. We have the cows to look after, milking to do, and making sure everything is clean and the animals are fed properly. It’s a lot of physical labor and there are no days off, even on holidays. The cows don't care what day it is, they still need to be tended to. We’ve been doing this in Vasanthapur for a long time now. It’s a family effort, with everyone pitching in where they can. The air is fresh out here, but the work is hard. We sell our milk to the local folks and some of the nearby shops. People seem to appreciate having a farm right in the neighborhood. We don't use any fancy machines for everything; a lot of it is still done the old-fashioned way. We just want to make sure the milk is good and the animals are healthy. It’s a simple life, focused on the seasons and the needs of the herd. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when it rains too much and the yard gets muddy, but we just deal with it. It’s what we know how to do. We don't have a big office or anything, just the farm and our daily routine. It’s tiring but it’s a good life for us here.
