Mangadevi Travels

Mangadevi Travels is a small operation we run from our home at H. No. 2-1-129 in Madhavanagar. We are right in the middle of Hanamkonda which is a very busy place these days. We have a couple of cars that we use for taxi services and trips to other towns. My wife and I handle the bookings from our living room. It’s not a corporate office with a lobby. If you come by, you’ll likely see the laundry hanging out or the kids playing near the cars. We keep a ledger to write down all the trips and the petrol costs. It is getting more expensive to run the cars but we keep going. The drivers we hire are local men who need the work and know the roads well. We don't have any big advertisements on the cars, just a small sticker usually. People call us when they have a wedding or need to get to a hospital in a hurry. We try to keep the interiors of the cars clean but it is hard with the dust and the passengers coming and going. Sometimes the phone rings at three in the morning for an emergency trip and we have to get up and get moving. That is just part of the travel business. We don't mind the long hours because it provides for our family. Madhavanagar is a good neighborhood and we are happy to be part of the community here.
