Mahalaxmi Decol Play Wood

The shop is right here in Shanigaram Nallabelly at house number 2-130. It is a simple place where we keep various kinds of plywood and decol sheets stacked against the walls. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of wood and the thin layer of dust that seems to settle on everything no matter how much we sweep. We spend most of our mornings moving the heavy boards around to find exactly what someone is looking for. The sun shines through the front door and hits the wood grains, showing all the different patterns. Sometimes we have to move the stock outside just to make room to work on a big order. It is hard work lifting those sheets, and our hands are usually rough by the end of the day. In Warangal, the weather changes fast, so we are always watching the sky to make sure the wood stays dry. Neighbors walk past and wave while we are busy measuring things out with the old tape measure. We don't have any fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a workspace with a desk and some registers where we keep track of what comes in and what goes out. People from the village come by with their dimensions written on scraps of paper or cardboard. We try to keep things organized but when a big truck arrives with new supply, the whole place gets crowded for a few hours.
