Lingaiah Dairy Farm

Out here at H. No -4-90 in Gollapalli, things move a bit slower than in the city. Lingaiah Dairy Farm is where we spend all our time. It’s out in Nallabelly, and the air is usually pretty fresh, though it smells like a farm, as you’d expect. We get started very early in the morning, usually before the sun is even up. There is always something to do, whether it’s feeding the animals or cleaning out the stalls. It’s hard work and it’s dirty, but it’s what we’ve always done. We don’t have an office with fancy chairs. Most of our "business" happens out in the yard or near the gates. My clothes are almost always stained with something, and my boots are never clean. That’s just life on a dairy farm. We don’t have a website or a marketing person. People know where we are if they need us. The cows don’t care about what day of the week it is, so we are here every single day. Gollapalli is a small place, and everyone knows everyone else’s business. We’ve lived at this house for a long time. It’s not just a job for us, it’s just how we live our lives. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when it rains too much and the ground turns to mud, but we just pull our boots on and get on with it. There’s no use complaining about the mud or the heat.
