Lakshman Farms

This is Lakshman Farms. We are located at H. No:-3-53 in Kothur village. It’s a small spot in Khanapur, out here in the Warangal district. I’ve been working this land for a good many years now. It is just me and a couple of others mostly. We don’t have any big machines, just the basic tools we need to get the seeds in the ground. Living at the same place where you work means you never really stop thinking about the crops. The house is 3-53, right in the middle of everything. Kothur is a nice place, though it gets very quiet at night. We grow a few different things depending on what time of year it is. Sometimes the bugs get into the plants and we have to deal with that, which is a real pain. It's not a glamorous life, but it's what we know. We aren't trying to be some big corporation. We just want to make sure the plants grow well so we have something to show for all the sweat. If you walk down the road in Khanapur, you’ll probably see us out in the fields. We don't have a website or anything like that. Just the farm and the house. It's a lot of walking and a lot of lifting. That's just how it goes here. We take it one day at a time and hope for rain.
