Kumaraswamy Farms

Kumaraswamy Farms is located at H. No:-10-114 in Khanapur, Warangal. We are out in the fields most of the time. Farming in this part of Warangal involves a lot of patience and looking at the sky for rain. We grow what the soil allows and what we think will do well each season. It’s a lot of manual labor, from plowing the earth to harvesting the crops. My family helps out when things get really busy around here. We have some storage space for the crops and the tools we use daily. It isn't a massive commercial operation. It’s more of a personal farm where we put in the work ourselves. The dirt gets under your fingernails and stays there for a long time. We deal with the local markets to sell what we produce. Sometimes the prices are good, sometimes they aren't so good. That’s just the nature of farming. We use a couple of old pumps for the water supply. The house and the farm are right together, so work and life just blend into one thing. We don’t have a fancy office or a secretary to answer phones. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to find us out in the rows of crops or near the equipment shed. It’s a simple life, focused on the land and the crops we can grow. We take things as they come and try to keep the farm going through every season.
