Kesoram Cement has a big presence out here in Basantnagar, and this specific spot is located at D1-83 in the Staff Colony. It’s deep in the Karimnagar district. Living and working in a colony like this means your job is your life. The houses are all lined up, and we all know each other by name. The air always has that faint smell of the plant, and you get used to the constant noise of the trucks moving in and out. At D1-83, things are pretty quiet compared to the main factory floor. It’s a place where we handle the day-to-day administrative side of things. We have a few old computers and plenty of ledgers that need filling. The sun gets very strong in this part of AP, so the thick walls of these colony houses are a blessing. We don't have any corporate retreats or big meetings. Most of our discussions happen over a quick meal or while walking to the main gate. It’s a simple existence. We focus on our specific tasks, whether it’s checking supply lists or managing the local staff issues. Sometimes a cow wanders into the colony and we have to shoo it away. It’s just those little things that make up our day. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy office. We just stay here and do what’s expected of us.
