Kattaswamy Farms

Living out at Kattaswamy Farms in Rangapuram is a bit different than being in the middle of the city. Our place is at H. No:-Rangapuram, Kanapuram, Warangal, and it’s where we do all our daily chores. We have been here a long time, just managing the land and seeing what the seasons bring. Some days are much longer than others, especially when the planting needs to get done or if the weather is acting up. We don't really have a big staff or anything like that. It is just a few of us making sure the gates are closed and the water is running where it should be. The dirt here is okay, but you have to work it right to get anything to grow. We spend a lot of time outside, even when it’s dusty or raining hard. It is a lot of physical labor, so our boots get worn out pretty fast. We don't use any fancy technology here, just the basic stuff that has worked for years. Sometimes the neighbors from Kanapuram stop by to chat for a minute, but mostly we are just busy with the tasks at hand. It is a quiet existence for the most part. We just focus on the next thing that needs doing. That is how we keep the farm going year after year without making a big fuss about it. It’s just home and work all in one spot.
