Karani Spices

Our place is at 44-2/26 in the Pragati Industrial Estate along Narsampet Road. It’s an industrial area, so there are a lot of warehouses and small factories around us. We focus on spices here. Most of the day is spent handling large quantities of bulk ingredients. It’s a lot of lifting and moving things from one corner to the other. The machines we use are pretty old but they still get the job done. We don’t have a fancy storefront because we aren't really a retail shop where people come to browse. We are more about the production side of things. Narsampet Road stays busy with trucks, and we are constantly loading or unloading something. It gets pretty dusty inside, especially when we’re working with the finer powders. We just wear our work clothes and get on with it. There’s no air conditioning, just some big fans that don't do much when it’s really hot outside. We have a small team of workers who have been with us for years. We know the rhythm of the machines and can tell when something is wrong just by the sound. It’s practical, hard work. We keep a ledger of everything that comes in and goes out. It’s not a complicated setup, but it’s how we’ve always done things here in the estate. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay on schedule with the orders we have to finish each week.
