Kancha Ravi Transport

Kancha Ravi Transport is based out of Relakunta in the Nallabelly area, and if you know this part of the world, you know it gets quite dusty when the trucks start moving. Our office at 4-40/2 is usually a mess of papers and tea cups. There is always someone coming in to check on a delivery or just to sit for a minute. The phone rings a lot, usually drivers calling to say there is a delay or that they need more fuel. We have been doing this for a long time, so the noise doesn't bother us anymore. Working in transport means you never really have a fixed schedule, things just happen when they happen. Early mornings are the busiest when we are trying to get the engines started and the loads checked. Relakunta is a small place but there is always something going on with the roads. We spend a lot of time just making sure the vehicles are in decent shape for the next trip. It isn't a glamorous job and your hands are usually covered in some kind of oil or grease. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The sun beats down on the yard and we just drink more water and keep going. It is a tough business but it is what we know. We have been in Nallabelly for years and most people know the name Ravi when they see the trucks.
