Ilaiah Tailors

Ilaiah Tailors is located at House Number 1-204 in Bojjannapet. We are part of the Narsimhulapet area in Warangal. The shop is basically a room with sewing machines and rolls of different fabrics leaning against the walls. There is always the sound of the needle going up and down and the snip of scissors. We spend the day taking measurements and cutting cloth to size. Most of our visitors are people from the village who need something for a wedding or just everyday wear. We have a lot of different colored threads scattered around on the tables. It’s not a fancy boutique with mannequins in the window. It is just a place where clothes get made. Being at 1-204 means people can just walk in and have a chat about what they need. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just life in Bojjannapet. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone tells their cousin about us and that is how we get work. The shop can get a bit cramped when there are a lot of orders, but we manage to keep everything organized in our own way. It’s a quiet kind of work that requires a lot of sitting and focusing on the details. We just keep sewing until the sun goes down and then we pack up for the day. It’s been our way of life for quite some time now, and we just like to keep it simple and steady.
