This is the shop in Kothur. If you’re driving through Khanapur and your bike or car starts making a sound it shouldn't, you probably end up here at H. No -2-4. I started this because I like working with my hands and there were always people needing a fix for their engines. It's not a huge garage with those lift machines you see in the big cities. We use basic tools, we get greasy, and we fix what is broken. Sometimes it’s just a flat tire or an oil change that needs doing before a long trip. Other times, it takes a whole afternoon to find out why the engine won’t turn over. My family helps out with the parts sometimes. It’s quiet in Kothur most days, except for the sound of the wrenches hitting the floor or the radio playing in the corner. Sometimes the rain gets in under the door, so we have to move the tools to a dry spot. We have some spare parts in the back, mostly for the common models people drive around here. If we don’t have it, we try to get it from the bigger town nearby. People know me by name. I don’t spend any money on signs or ads. The work speaks for itself I guess. If you bring your vehicle, just leave it by the gate. I’ll get to it as soon as the current job is done. It’s just honest work.
