About Ekantham D J Sound System – Jewellery in Warangal
We keep all our gear at house 1-51 in Chinnakorpola, which is a small village in the Nekkonda area. It’s not a big shop, just a part of the house where we store the speakers, the mixers, and all those miles of tangled cables. We spend a lot of time untangling those wires and testing the amplifiers to make sure nothing blew out at the last event. You can often hear music thumping from our yard when we are checking the bass levels, which probably annoys the neighbors a bit, but they’re used to it by now. Most of our work happens on weekends or during the festival seasons in Warangal. We load everything onto a small truck, bracing the speakers so they don't slide around on the bumpy village roads. It’s heavy work, lifting those cabinets and setting up the stands in the heat. Often we are the last ones to leave a party, packing up in the dark while everyone else has gone home to sleep. The equipment gets a bit dusty from the outdoor venues, so cleaning it is a never-ending task. We’ve got a small notebook where we scribble down the bookings and who owes what. It’s a humble setup, but we’ve got enough gear to make a lot of noise when it’s needed. We just focus on keeping the electronics running and being ready for the next call that comes in from someone planning a celebration.
