Dharavath Vijaya

Living out here in Maidamcheru Thanda is quiet for the most part. My name is Dharavath Vijaya and I stay at house number 5-23. This is in the Mondrai area, specifically in Kodakandla which falls under the Jangaon district. Our place is not hard to find once you get into the thanda. Most of the people around here are family or folks we have known since we were kids. Life moves a bit slower in this part of the country. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the daily chores around the house and checking on the small bits of work we have going on. The house is where everything happens for us. It’s an old-fashioned way of living, I guess. We don’t have big signs or anything fancy out front. It is just a home where we also manage our business affairs when they come up. Jangaon is the main town we go to when we need something big, but otherwise, we stay close to home in the village. The air is better out here than in the city. Sometimes the rain makes the roads a bit muddy, but we manage. People in the thanda always help each other out. My address is 5-23 and that is where you will find me most days of the week. We just do our bit of work and try to keep things moving along without much fuss. It is a simple life in Mondrai and we are used to it. The surroundings are mostly fields and trees, and it stays very peaceful at night.
