Dharavath Padma

Over here in Devaruppula village, life moves at its own slow pace most of the time. My place is located at H. No. 8-85/5, and that is where all the daily work happens. It isn't a big setup with a lot of employees or fancy equipment. It is just me taking care of business right here from the house. People in the village know me well, and they usually know where to find me if they need something done. It is a quiet area for the most part, though you can always hear the goats and the neighbors calling out to one another in the street. I spend my mornings getting things organized for whatever the day brings. Some days are much busier than others, particularly when there is a lot of local activity going on in the Mandal. I don't bother with a website or a bunch of staff to manage. It is just practical, everyday work that needs to be finished. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, and I have to spend a while cleaning everything up before I can even start my tasks. Being in a small place like this means you know everyone by their first name. It is about being part of the community and just getting through the list of chores. If you are passing through Devaruppula, you will easily spot the house. I am usually around from the early morning until the sun finally sets.
