Devula Transport

Over at Yerrabelligudem in the Regadi Tanda area, you’ll find Devula Transport. Our house number is 7-88, and that is basically where everything happens. Nellikudur is a quiet place most of the time, but the transport business keeps us on our toes. There’s always someone needing something moved or a driver looking for directions. We started small and stayed that way because it’s easier to manage things ourselves. The trucks are parked out front when they aren't on the road. It gets a bit noisy when the engines start up early in the morning, but the neighbors are used to it by now. My hands are usually greasy from checking the oil or helping with a quick fix. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know our name around the Tanda. Some days are slow and we just sit outside talking, but other days we don’t even have time for lunch. The dust from the roads settles on everything in the yard. It’s a simple setup. We deal with farmers and local shops mostly. We’ve been part of this community for a long time. It’s not a big corporate operation, just us working hard every day to make sure things get where they need to go. Sometimes the weather makes it tough, but we manage. I spend a lot of time on my old phone making sure the schedules are okay. It is just a regular life here in the village.
