Das General Store

If you walk down towards Sadasiva Nagar, you’ll find us at 214/7A. Das General Store has been serving the Dharmaraopet area for quite a while now. We keep a bit of everything on the shelves. It’s a small shop, so it gets a bit tight when more than three people are inside at once. I usually stay behind the counter while my nephew helps with the deliveries. We sell soap, snacks, pens, and whatever else people around here need for their homes. The morning rush is usually the busiest when kids are heading to school and need a quick notebook or a biscuit packet. We don't have a computer system, just a notebook where I write things down. Sometimes I forget where I put the keys to the glass case, but we manage. The street outside is usually quiet except for the occasional scooter. We know almost everyone who walks through the door by name. It’s not a supermarket, just a local general store. We keep the lights on until late evening because someone always forgets to buy milk or sugar at the last minute. The shelves are wooden and a bit creaky. We painted the front last year but the sun has already faded it a bit. It’s a decent place to work. We don’t do any advertising. People just know we are here at 214/7A and stop in when they need something quick.
