C V Raman High School

If you go to House No 5-11-320 in Naimnagar, you will find C V Raman High School. It’s right in the middle of a residential area in Warangal, so it feels very much like a part of the neighborhood. The school isn’t a huge sprawling campus; it’s more contained, like the houses around it. Every morning, the street gets busy with parents dropping off their kids on scooters or children walking from just a few blocks away. You can hear the bell ringing from quite a distance, letting everyone know that the day has started. We have a lot of different age groups under one roof, so it can get pretty loud during the break times. The teachers are mostly local people who have been with us for a long time. They know the families and the kids by name. We spend our days going from one classroom to the next, trying to keep everyone focused. There isn’t anything fancy about the way we operate. We have our desks, our chalk, and our daily plans. Sometimes we have to deal with the typical school problems, like a broken window or a lost notebook. It’s a very grounded place. We don’t put on any airs. We just want the kids to learn their lessons and get home safely. After the final bell rings at the end of the day, the street fills up again, and then things finally quiet down for us.
