Bhaskara Chary Gold Shop

This shop is in Chennaraopet, Warangal. It’s at H. No -3-47. My father started this long ago. He taught me how to handle the gold and the tools. Bhaskara Chary Gold Shop isn't a showroom with bright lights and glass. It’s a workshop. You can hear the hammering if you walk by. We do small repairs and make things for the local families. Most people come here for weddings. They bring old gold to get it melted or cleaned. It’s a lot of sitting and focusing. The light has to be just right. We’ve been in this same house for years. The front part is the shop and we live in the back. It’s a small village setup. Everyone knows where we are. We don't do big advertisements. Word of mouth is enough for us. Sometimes people wait a long time for their items. Handwork takes time. We don't use machines for everything. It’s better to do it by hand. Sometimes my hands get tired but it’s part of the job. Warangal is a nice place for this kind of work. People value tradition here. We keep the shop open till late evening. If someone needs something urgent, they just knock on the door. It’s a simple life. We like making things that last. The gold tells a story for every family that visits us. We just help them keep that story going.
