Our office is tucked away at 20-14-142/1 in Harijan Wada, over by the East Fort area. If you know the Fort, you know it’s a place with a lot of history and narrow streets. Being in the transport business here means we have to be good at navigating those roads. The office itself is quite small and usually has a few drivers sitting around waiting for their next route. There’s a lot of tea drinking and talk about road conditions and traffic. We have a big map on the wall that’s been there for years, and it’s starting to peel at the edges. My desk is covered in receipts and schedules. It’s a noisy place because the trucks are always nearby, and the phones don’t stop ringing once the morning starts. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you walk in, you just talk to whoever is available at the desk. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time, and we know the routes like the back of our hand. It’s hard work, and the hours are long, especially when a shipment is delayed. We don't use any high-tech tracking systems; we just call the drivers and check where they are. It’s an old-school way of doing things, but it’s served us well enough. We just focus on getting things from one place to another without too much fuss.
